Steve Jobs Passes Away Aged 56 (Stanford Commencement Speech)

This morning europe awoke to the sad news that Apple founder and former CEO Steve Jobs had passed away after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.  Steve was a technology visionary that in over a decade changed three separate sectors for the better, Computing, Music distribution & Telecommunications.

Famous for his Apple product launch speeches which are full of energy and excitement Steve also spoke to university graduates at Stanford in 2005. This Stanford keynote was upon his commencement into stanford alumni, it’s a touching, emotional and endearing insight into a man who otherwise was very private in nature compared to his apple CEO role.

Drawing from some of the most pivotal points in his life, Steve Jobs, chief executive officer and co-founder of Apple Computer and of Pixar Animation Studios, urged graduates to pursue their dreams and see the opportunities in life’s setbacks — including death itself — at the university’s 114th Commencement on June 12, 2005.
