Wil Wheaton discusses why it’s the entertainment industry’s fault that piracy exists in this video taken at Comic-Con 2011. Wil had some problems with DRM protected episodes of Dr Who not playing in Canada after being purchased by himself whilst in the USA and discussed his opinion openly at Comic-Con.
One of the personal examples Wil gives in his argument is the fact that DRM protected content does not work if taken across borders and even although you have legally paid for the content. I have to agree with Wil’s opinion if you purchase the content like a TV Show you should then be able to view that content anywhere you wish to restriction free.
Whats you opinion on state, border DRM files, leave a comment letting me know.
